You can read about what led me to start this blog in My First Visit to Narnia. New blog posts will be coming out every Friday at noon.
I realize that, at least at first, my readers will primarily be my family and friends who are really only reading it because they know me.
Keeping that in mind, I want this blog to interest and be accessible to two groups of people. The first is those who are only somewhat familiar with the Chronicles of Narnia. Who have perhaps read them or most of them once or twice or have seen the movies. The reason this can work is that I will include the entire passage I'll be talking about in each blog post. However, you do have to have some knowledge of at least the basic storyline and characters.
I also want this blog to work for those who are very familiar with the series. Hopefully, looking at the scenes from a different point of view might let you see them in a new light. I also anticipate some more Narnia-nerdy posts on topics such as the published v. chronilogical order debate or whether the Lady of the Green Kirdle is Jadis or her sister or something else. But I don't want this to become just another Narnia fan site.
So basically, I don't want you to be scared off by thinking you have to be an expert on all things Narnia to read this blog. Rather, I want to directly tie it's scenes to real life in a way that it's relatable to anyone. To make this happen, be sure to ask me any questions you have.
